What was the last film you saw and how would you rate it? Pt. 18

Thought I'd post this here until I hear we're doing it somewhere else....

Post the name of the latest movie you've seen and your rating out of 10.

Score: A Film Music Documentary, 7/10

(some good content, but a lot of it is the same old things that most of us already know about)

Platoon (1986). Long time ago since I last saw it. Remains very powerful, did not age although it's already more than 30 years old - 9/10

I don't get the point. This is a scene from American Graffiti (1973)?

I finally saw Toni Erdmann, 8/10

For me it was dramatic as much as it was comical.

Dancer - 8/10 - I've always kind of felt like male ballet dancers were just pieces of furniture for the women to dance around. Sergei is amazing, though according to the film, he is light years ahead of any other male dancer.

I love male dancers! Some pieces give them more to do than others.

He is really great - there is a short film at the end made by David LaChapelle with him dancing in a barn to "Take Me to Church" that is really beautiful.

I just read that Ralph Fiennes is directing a film about Nureyev and Polunin is playing him. Could be interesting if it actually comes to fruition.

It has been awhile since I felt this uncomfortable while watching a movie.

The Defiant Ones - 8/10 - what was the deal with Poitier's singing? Totally took me out of the film... And I kept getting distracted by how tight Curtis's pants were. Otherwise, great!

The Disappearance of Vonnie (1994 TV Movie) - 6/10

I wanted to watch this movie because it's a true story about one of the first times ever in the U.S. that a man got convicted for a capital offense without a body or a murder weapon having been found. Unfortunately it never surpasses the level of the average B-movie.
