Poll Suggestion: The Perfect Bob Marley

Bob Marley, the Jamaican king of reggae was a man of peace for everyone.
Who would you consider to be his highness on screen?

Perhaps it should say "Who would you consider to playhim" to make it more clear.

FYC:
LaKeith Stanfield

Ok, I changed it. The term with "highness" was meant as a pun for fans. :D
But it's ok anyway. Bob Marley is always good. And for more good vibes
I would tend to ... Max Romeo ! :D

When I would just count the photos, I would pick Michael B. Jordan. He looks most close to the face of Marley, and he has a more thin figur.

When I think of the great performance in 'Get on Up' I would consider Chadwick Boseman. He's really a cool actor for music, he has special expression.

When I think on who's a big fan of Marley, I would consider Will Smith. I guess he would play the role with special passion.

When it comes to weed situations, I would consider Marlon Wayans. ;D He can also play serious.

I also think LaKeith Stansfield may be a good fella for the role, isn't he?

As the list is not full of 35 people, I let Idris Elba stand on the list.

Idris Elba is a good actor and with software they could make him younger. Marley died at 36 by cancer. He formerly was shot - what a shame. I don't like haters. Hating is dull and dumb.

Why don't you consider Mahershala Ali for the role?

Some are way too tall and muscular to play Bob Marley, he was 5'7 and had a thin frame. I think you should consider Black actors who are under 5'9"... maybe I am too much of a purist when it comes to height but you have so many miscasts... like Naomi Watts playing Diana who was 6 inches taller and a few exceptions like Joaquin Phoenix playing Johnny Cash who was 6 inches taller too.

what you say apparently only very rarely is taken into account, I have seen many errors of that kind.
but according to that I think John David Washington has an acceptable stature, he measures 5.9.
So thin would not be a problem, he could easily get thin

Height isn't much an issue but having a six-footer playing an average to short person would only go unnoticed if height isn't one of the celebrity's most notable traits. Paul Dano has an uncanny resemblance to Leo Messi but I dount he'd be the right actor to play him.

Elmo, I understand your intention. We had the same discussion here:

We have times  when CGI allowes to make people younger, change the skincolor, and even shrink people vertical (Gimli in LOTR) and horizontal. Modern techniques can do whatever you want on screen. So you can select an elite black artist to do it. The more compelling urge is to find an actor who can play the person Bob Marley. A good method actor like e.g. Christian Bale (but still a black one) could shrink himself by nutrition. Maybe you know The One! So please let me know. :D

I know, it's a little like using Pattinson for Batman. ;)
