Poll Suggestion: The 10 Least Necessary Sequels that Are in Development Anyway According to Elle Spain

One of the keys for a good story is ending it at the right time. Unfortunately, the knowledge of that timing seems to be decreasingly common in a Hollywood plagued with reboots, remakes and sequels, and some stories simply keep being stretched well past their expiration date. Which of these movie sequels in development as of July 2018 makes you wonder why is it even happening?

All of them.
Please include a return link in the description section on your list page.

I already added that link. Maybe I should place it closer to the main paragraph?

Fixed. Right next to the end of the paragraph now.

Update: as I finally found the IMDb page for the in-development third Annabelle film, it's now listed properly instead of using Annabelle: Creation as a placeholder entry.

Another idea is to mention the title of the article that your title is referring to. And maybe a link.

Done. The original article is now linked in the description.

May I suggest shortening the title to:
10 Least Necessary Sequels in Development According to Elle Spain

Done. Looks much better like that.

I am actually interested in Untitled Men in Black Spin-Off (2019): it is a franchise in which spin-offs might work quite well and also fewer portions of rather interesting indie comics by Lowell Cunningham (on which the movies were based) were actually adapted in the previous movies, so if something out of them will end up as a basis of the spin-off, I'll be delighted.

As for other 9 options... Let's just say I'm LEAST sleptical about Indaina Jones (I am actually a part of minority who likes Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) and Rambo (as the fourth movie was surprisingly good and arguably better then the third). The fact that both sequels are already ten years apart from the previous entries is worrying but tricky: sometimes such distance allows for something reall good to happen.

Seen that video in my Recommended feed on YouTube. I'd argue that movies are not getting worse at all: good movies rarely get proper advertising, especially non-mainstream ones. And this problem is far from being new: many classics and cult films were initially poorly received and that could be said just about every decade: 40's, 50's, 80's you name it.

We had some great and influential movies in this decade already: some of them are yet to be noticed, some were noticed thanks to some luck and some were panned because they were advertised as something else entirely...

Some people, myself included, don't find a lot of the newer blockbusters to be as satisfying as older blockbusters.

You do know that Cracked is a satire comicbook magazine like MAD magazine is.

Hi, dgranger. There are serious messages embedded within the satire. Similar is the case with South Park, HISHE and a bunch of other stuff.

Title of that video should've been "Reasons YouTube Keep Getting Worse"
It's really long. :P
////
Anyway, He's got a point. This is common in most new blockbuster movies.
In Deadpool 2 pool just said "that's just poor writing" about how they handled Cable.
It was just poor. >_<
