Poll Suggestion: Possible Adaptations of 80s-90s Animated TV Series

I always felt that the 80s and early 90s provided some of the greatest and most thrilling animated TV series ever, with their share of adventures, thrills and fun ... and even some obscure (yet appealing) weirdness. It's to this forgotten period set after the Hanna-Barbera's Golden Age and before the Pokemons, that this poll pays tribute to.

Now, some series have already been adapted to movies, among them Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987), Inspector Gadget (1983), Smurfs (1981) and Transformers (1984) and I concede that the results didn't always match our expectations. But maybe this is because the producers didn't pay attention shows with greater potential.

(Personally, I've always wondered why I could never see nm000040 playing 'Bullet-Proof' in a movie adaptation of C.O.P.S. (1988) or how come an environmentalist cartoon like Captain Planet and the Planeteers (1990) was never given a chance to enlighten the younger generations about the dangers that threaten our planet. Go figure why.) But here's the question:

Which of these (forgotten?) 80's/90's animated series would make the most awesome live-action adaptation?

https://www.imdb.com/list/ls058265713/

PS: Forgive the generational bias but still, I suspect even those who were born before the mid-70s and after the mid-90s (re-runs exist, don't they?) will be familiar with most of these titles.

The top review for this film is subtitled The Perfect Movie For Anyone Who Hates Dragonball Z.

I remember when the original show came out - I was in my early teens and beginning to lose interest in animated shows and films, although I still watched some.

I really disliked Dragonball Z though...

Fast forward some 15+ years; I find a DVD/BR/whatever of https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1098327/ lying around. Bored, I stick it in and watch it... and whaddaya know... I enjoyed it. In fact, I watched it again a few years later.

So yes, clearly the perfect movie for anyone who hates the (original) Dragonball Z! :)

I like Saint Seiya, but I wouldn't like to see it in Live Action at all.

On the other hand Captain Planet could be a good idea, and even a very current film due to the climatic disaster we are about to fail to prevent.

Thundercats is my second option, but I fear it can end up as bad as Cats was.

FYC:

Gargoyles
Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends
Silverhawks
Mighty Max
Centurions
Defenders of the Earth
G-Force
James Bond Jr.
Thundarr the Barbarian
Urusei Yatsura
Cat's Eye
Bionic Six

I used to see all of those up to James Bond Jr. and I have only a slight idea that sometime I could have seen Thundarr. The last tree I don't know about, but their plot appears to make them interesting adaptations.

I saw live action stuff titled "Cat's Eye", are you sure all of them weren't adapted?
Spider-Man has been adapted so many times I don't think it matters which version was or wasn't...
Added many of your suggestion, thanks :)

True about it, there's a live action movie on Cat's Eye.

I was going to suggest Bionic Six.

You asked for obscure, and it's pretty obscure, and I loved it as a kid... so I second Pencho's nomination.

I was going to mention Ducktales, but I forgot there was a movie. I'm not sure I ever saw it.

I don't know how it could be done exactly, but I'd love to see what a good director could come up with for  Il était une fois... la vie. I was also looking, on the list, for something that you recommended to me a while ago and I watched it (I think on You Tube) and I loved it: I think it may have been a film and part of an animated film series, though, not TV series. I wish I could remember the name of it, though. I'm going to do some searching -- not for this poll but so I can watch it again. : )
