Poll Suggestion: If M-vi-s Titl-s h-d bl-nks!

You may be familiar with the concept of the Hangman or its flashier version: Wheel of Fortune, it starts with a word, an expression or a title where letters are all replaced by blanks and the game consists on guessing the correct letters, one by one, until getting the whole thing. The sooner the better... money-wise, but the later the better... fun-wise!

Indeed, one of the many delights of this game is in the way some blanks can be quite misleading, in an embarrassing way. This poll is about movie titles that would be too embarrassing to read if they missed some letters, or would inspire a rather unsuitable wrong guess.

Hoping this poll will get past the radar, which of these cases of movie titles with blank letters would be the most humorously cringe-worthy?

Another masterpiece, though I'm too dense for some of them.

Not only I saw it but I immediately thought of the movie Funny Farm and the great entry it could make, I don't know why I totally forgot to reply to you!

Awesome poll!

I don't know if this could work haha :D

 A Clockwork Orange (1971) -- A C_OCK_ORK ORANGE
Passengers (2016) --- _ASS__GERS
Coco (2017) --- COC_
Braveheart (1995) --- _RAVE_EAR_
Toy Story (1995) --- TO_  S_ORY
Gone with the Wind (1939) --- _ONE WIT_ _HE WIN_

Coco doesn't work, the same letters are unveiled at once, you can't have one "O" and not the other...
... I'll keep your suggestions "on ice", right now, I'm looking for raunchier material, but thanks a lot (I like the "Clockwork" one)

HAHAH amazing idea...let me try:

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants-THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TR-VELLING --NTS
From Dusk Till Dawn - F--- D--- TILL DAWN.... WOW took it too far sorry
Cult of Chucky - CU_T OF CHUCKY....that's the best one
Camp Rock- CAMP _OCK...HAHA sign me up
The Blair Witch Project - THE BLAIR _ITCH PROJECT
Horns - HORN_
The Witch Who Came from the Sea - THE -ITCH -HO C-ME FROM THE SE- ... well i'm glad she had fun..

I don't understand these ones: THE BO--NE S-P-EMACY (i'm guessing ur going for male gametes, but if so the placement of the spaces made my eyes automatically rule out male gametes being part of the title), NAKED -UNCH (if its supposed to be an M that isn't much diff from the actual title), and -LITTER.

& I've read more online fights surrounding someone's use of the word THE -RAPES OF WRATH in the context of a joke than fights on any other topic, so maybe to be on the safe side u should leave it out. just lookin out 4 ya bud

Yeah I figured that but I've never heard anyone actually say the word before, but apparently it is glitter used for vajazzling so that is hilarious

Many good ones, some of them don't work though like CAMP -OCK, once the "C" are shown, it's obvious it won't be "that" word :)
Added many of yours, groovy, love how your mind workd and yeah, I removed a few of mine :)

Groovy, some of my previous suggestions work on the "visualization" of the current assemblage of letters and the naughty impression it creates right before the guessing, it's not about the misleading guess... there are not many of them though maybe I should just keep them for a Part II.

I can imagine:

ZO-BA THE G-EEK
THE RED -HOE-
TH- CLI--T LIST
etc.

CAMP --CK could work instead, but I prefer CAMP -OCK, working on ur visualization principle ur mind would be tricked for a couple seconds until u realized the C is showing. I get lots of the visualization ones but with THE BO--NE S-P-EMACY, the space between the S and P is the 1st thing I noticed.

And some corrections are needed for my suggestions:

  • F--- D--K TILL DAWN (i typoed it the first time)
  • THE -ITCH -HO C-ME FROM THE SE- ....think about it a sex, the A's shouldn't be there. oops, i mean sec* ha ha

... & WHITE BOY _ICK and  - SH-T IN THE D--K are def high quality if u end up having room. :)

Gosh, I totally forgot about the "shot in the dark", thanks for the reminder.
(check the list, I added many if your suggestions, as for the visualization principle, well, I'll think about it :))

ElMo, perhaps it could help if you add  indications of missing letters in each option. It may be hard for users who have a primary language different from English to figure some of them out.

That's what I did first... but then I was told it would be better if I left it up to the viewer's imagination and avoid a too explicitly vulgar language that would undermine the poll's chances. I had written them all : UP -N THE A--, SL-UT-, A SH-T -N THE DARK etc. And then I removed them all when I bumped that poll again. I don't know what to do now...

Sorry, I wasn't aware of that previous suggestion. Don't mind about what I said.
