Oh, he also forgot that Stephen King didn't write novels called "Pet Semitary II" or "Firestarter 2: rekindled" or "Return to Salem's Lot". Oh BTW "Stand By Me" was based on a Stepin King short story called "The Body". Also, so was "The Mist" a short novella, not novel, found in his "Skeleton Crew" collection of short stories.
He also forgot "Cycle Of The Werewolf " which became the movie "Silver Bullet".
Sorry, the list is very flawed. It should be retitled as "Movies Based On Stories By Stephen King."
Jessica and Pyramide Khéops, Djesika's more off than you think! Not only he did include two sequels that Stephen King did not write*, but the last FIVE, count them FIVE, movies on his list were novels too. They are not. They are novellas that were published as a part of Stephen King's story collections.
I just got through doing a list of movies that are based on Stephen King's short stories and Novellas. In fact, this and another person complaining to the IMDb about not including "The Shawshank Redemption" as one of Stephen King most known work inspired me to do this list. My poll list is at http://www.imdb.com/list/ls020577651/... . In my poll suggestion, I describe what a Novella is and I also tell people what collection of Stephen King stories you can find the story in. Compare my list to Djesika's. If he can have "The Mist", "Stand By Me", "Secret Window", "1408", and "Dolan's Cadillac " on his list, then at least "The Langoliers", "The Shawshank Redemption", "Children Of The Corn". and "Maximum Overdrive". belong there too.
*But the logic would still hold that since Stephen King did write the novel that the first movie was based on, the sequel is based on his novel too.
First off, you seem to have misunderstood something. Me and Djesika are the same person. Djesika is my IMDb user name. It is a weird/not-really-correct form of the name Jessica.
Second, I realize now I may have made a few mistakes with my Stephen King poll. It is over two years old, and clearly I did not do my research well enough. I apologize for that.
Thirdly, I will make the necessary updates to my poll and have it re-pushed.
I'm sorry for me reacting violately the way I did and upsetting you. No excuse for that. I just didn't put the clues together.
May I make 2 suggestions as a means for making amends? In your repush you might want to consider including tv mini series as extended made for TV movies. That way you can include "It", "The Tommyknockers", "The Stand", "Desparation" (accually a made for t.v. movie), the T.V. Remake of "The Shining" which was a lot more closer to the book than Kubrick's film was, and "Salem's Lot". And maybe include "Under The Dome" .
I appreciate your suggestion, but since the poll is so old, it may be a bit late to add more titles, and since my original idea was to only include movies, I would like to stick with that.

This poll is only about films based on his novels. The Shawshank Redemption is based on a short story. The inclusion of 1408 was a mistake.
