riverotter,

You may wish to state in your poll that you are only considering music that existed prior to the production of each of Kubrick's films. Otherwise, the film score for Spartacus and other films would probably qualify for your poll.

My vote in descending order of preference:
  1. Also Sprach Zarathustra
  2. The Blue Danube
  3. Beethoven's 9th Symphony
  4. We'll Meet Again
  5. Singin' in the Rain
For your consideration:

Lolita (1962)
Polonaise in A major, Op. 40, No. 1

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
Daisy Bell (A Bicycle Built for Two)

I said 'piece of music,' isn't that specific enough to a song and not a score?

My answer: Also Sprach Zarathustra

The list text doesn't actually say "piece of music".

Exactly.

When I hear "Also Sprach Zarathustra", I immediately think of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Kubrick.
