Live Poll: Who Run the World? Girls!

Pitch Perfect 3 will be coming soon to theaters. It follows the female singing group the Bellas as they reunite for a USO tour. Which of these films featuring mainly women actors do you like most?

Fried Green Tomatoes, Volver, or Death Proof.

Could you update the intro? ('About Pitch Perfect 3's release.)

I'm a bit hesitant on those two since, while the films focus on female stories, both have a lot of male characters, some of them quite important. Especially Hidden Figures.

Okay, I was just trying to think of more recent titles.

There's also The Beguiled.

I just noticed a typo in the title: Who Runs the World...

I also noticed that you put the movies in chronological order, which makes sense, but I'm wondering if it makes more sense to put them in some other order, like alphabetical order, because my guess is that, unfortunately, a lot of voters will see the older films all at the beginning and become disinterested. 'Just a thought.

That's not a typo - see Portman's post.

I've started going chronological on almost all of my lists. I want to give the older movies a chance.

I'll check out your suggestions now...thanks.

Yeah, Peter and Jess informed me of Beyonce's song, lol. I'm always clueless on this site when it comes to top 40 music or practically anything else that's extremely popular. If I know anything, it's only because of my students. *rolling my eyes*  :)

I like that you're going chronological on many of your lists: I like when polls also operate as a resource, exposing people to films that they might not have known about otherwise.

Ruby,

I tend to think of anything other than classical music as modern music. I depend upon my two daughters, the poll authors and other contributors to this loop to keep my semi-aware of current day culture.

I tend to try and use (generally) familiar lines or puns for my titles. If something seems odd or incorrect, try googling it and see what comes up. :)
