Live Poll: Which Video Game World Would Lend Itself to a Movie the Best?

Out of the video game franchises without a movie, which would lend itself best to one? The movie doesn't have to be based on the exact exploits of the game, such as how they handled the Assassin's Creed movie where it's in the same universe, but is its own story, with its own characters, but the same elements. In fact, not basing the movie on the same story as the video game would, most likely, lend for a great movie, if handled well. Here goes!

PS: Suggest whatever you will. I'm open to any and everything. I'll update this post once I feel there are enough to have a substantial poll.

Good idea.

FYC (and my vote): Return to Castle Wolfenstein (2001).

The first Call of Duty game.

The thing with the first three Call of Duty games is that there are already an abundance of World War II movies. The others could be good, though.

I didn't see your post. Are you replying in a serious tone?

Sure, but if it doesn't fit in here, that's fine.

I've often wondered how a movie adaptation of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto would play out. I'm not sure if it would work, because there are so many movies by which the games were inspired, yet there has not really been a movie that reaches to the plausible yet absurd themes found in the games, like a firefight involving a Leopard 2A4 tank and A/MH-6X MELB helicopters in the downtown of a massive urban area, or a character escaping wanted levels that have city police, sheriffs' deputies, state troopers and federal agents on his or her tail.

Grand Theft Auto is one of those games where, if you take a small chunk of a game, it can become a movie. However, I don't know if it'd work, because there are so many crime films already, and I think the stories would lose flavor if an adaptation cuts out the fat of the games, which wouldn't be prudent for a movie, but are one of the draws of the games. Hm.

From the list, I'd like to see Deus Ex or Zelda. I don't really play games, but they seem the most interesting.

FYC, Halo is supposed to get an adaption written by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Dredd) so that might be good.

I'm trying to avoid games that already have a movie, and Halo is pushing it.

I changed my mind. I'll add it.

I don't know if it's even been green-lit yet. So far as I know it's still just a screenplay.

I'd probably vote for Fire Emblem or Watch Dogs. Well, at least right now. Most of those would make good movies, if done like Assassin's Creed where it's the same mechanics and style, but its own story.
