Please put a return link to this page in you list description

Gore doesn't scare me. It just turns me off. But good suspense and dark and gloomy places does it all the time. That is why "Halloween" is so good.
The scariest movie I ever saw, "Dante's Peak" aka, natural gone wild. Everything in that film has happened somewhere around the world.
You can say natural desaster movie.

Btw, take this from someone who does the same thing, some of your entries can be shortened down. Like :

"The fear of incestuos hillbillies craving for your flesh." to "The fear of cannibals."

"The fear of knowing to die soon and searching for a way to avert it by betraying the death." to "The fear of your death coming soon ."

This "The fear to get into an bad-minded psycho-game of a pretty sick abductor, even if he is fair ." and this "The fear to be random chosen by an evil psychopath, not knowing how his evil game turns out" are the same thing reworded. (Also, before Jessica corrects you, it is "Randomly chosen").

Here is a new one for you to consider: "The fear of being hunted (particularly, for sport).." That way, you can use the films "The Purge", "Predator", "Predator 2", "The Hunger Games", "Surviving The Game", the new one coming soon out "Silent Place", "The Duel", "The Hunters", and "The Naked Prey".

My own corrections. 'The new one coming out soon "A Quite Place"" - not "The new one coming soon out "Silent Place"".

By the way. I think "Surviving the game" would have been an excellent choice. That movie had power. But i think not many people would remember that movie. Wasn't mainstream, so i chose "The Purge". It's so fresh, nearly every horrorfan aged 40 and below knows it.

Good poll!

There are some typos:

#6: The fear to be randomly chosen ...
#8: The fear of being buried / trapped
#17: The fear of telepathic occurrences
#20: The fear of your death coming soon.
#22: The fear of getting into irritating troubles no one would know about.

Also, in your intro, the question should be: What kind of fear is your favorite?
(since we can only vote for one option)

Sorry about the typos. My only excuse is that english is not my motherlanguage. So thank you for correcting me. I corrected the list. I corrected the typos and the closing question.

Thank you, Jessica. :)

Sorry. You're right. But now hopefully it's ok. :))
I changed the "a" to an "e" but failed to see the "rr" instead "r" and the odd "o". ;)
I hate that word. =D  ---> I will use it again ! 8)

"The fear of deceases"?  I suspect it should have read "The fear of diseases"

Breumaster,
As Stephen points out, the correct spelling is "diseases".
You can still update your poll even though it is live. Just make the necessary changes in your list and request a re-push here: https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/faq-poll-authors-re-push-requests

Suggestion: I would change "biblical demons" to plain "demons" or "hellish creatures".
For example Clive Barker's horror classics like HellraiserNightbreedLord of Illusions, ... feature demons but they are not exactly biblical.

Thank you for this good suggestion. I've changed it to "demons or hellish creatures". That includes all your suggestions and is ok for me. :) Agree?

Hi, B_sides_B, what do you think of the newer changes?

I've put it to #15. Now it's:
"The fear of extinction by some interstellar predators / xenomorphs /other Monsters."
Is this ok, or would you want some more dissociation to interstellar predators and xenomorphs?

I think most of the monsters in movies come from out of space. Only animals like Nessie from Loch Ness are not from space. But her and krakens, giant spiders and so on ... are mostly from earth. So i would put them to the point "fear of animals". What do you think of this point?

I could think of "The fear of animals and monsters.".
For me this would be as good as the other solution i did.
Another point could be:
"The Fear of Animals, Monsters, interstellar predators and xenomorphs.".
I think the last solution is a little unspecific but would shorten the whole poll a little. ;)

Okey, I think when he is saying "Monsters" there a few earth bound monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, werewolf, the wolf man, the mummy, Dr. Jeckyl/Mr. Hyde, and the monsters of the movie "Monsters Inc.".
As for faint animals, except for King Kong and mighty Joe Young, most of those came from the period of Horror movie history right after the dropping of atomic bomb and the atomic radiation causing mutations. Most of the giant animal monsters are caused by atomic radiation or chemicals and or a mad sceinist's experiments. Godizza and the giant ants and giant spiders movies are from this period of horror movie history. Aka: fear of monsters created atomic radiation or a mad scientist's experiments." Frankenstein's monster would also fall into this category too.
