Live Poll: The Most Wonderful Hollywood Actress Aged 55+

Intro:

A look in modern media. There is a common sense of delusion about
everybody has to be young. Commercials mostly show 25 year old anorexia
models without facial wrinkles, completely clean and they look like a perfect designed cyborg, made of plastic.

When you look at Sir Sean Connery or Sean Bean you might realize that some people don't have to follow that delusion, because of their rich and lovely personality. They mature like an extraordinary good vine, e.g. from Petrus vineyards. The older they get, the better they look, the more attractive they are. This also counts for many actresses. Now look at the actresses 55+ of age. Which of these actresses below did most grow to you heart or simply which of them do you most admire? (Please avoid to let their sense of taste for clothing or makeup at events influence your decision.) Tell me about her.

Rules:

She has to be or have been popular.
She should be 55+ (I don't count on a few weeks difference, but not more than 3 month)
She should still live, the day it really becomes a poll. (in case of accidents, etc.)
She should also be a movie actress

It's so hard with all these great actresses, but I stay with Michelle Pfeiffer

I had no idea Sandra Bullock was over 55 - she looks great!  So does Elvira.

I suggest Julia Duffy, of Newhart/Designing Women.  https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0240564/
Not only has she aged well, she is a very talented and funny actress.

Hard to choose, but I'm somewhere between Julianne Moore, Jennifer Beals, and Penelope Ann Miller

Btw: The intro was a little edited by me. It's not the same like above. ;)

I love that poll. It seems that attitude towards age slowly shifts and that's great.

Ok, guys I have an idea. Maybe there will be a second part. So I will collect your suggestions and put it in a second part, which I'll suggest soon. Please don't be angry, if your suggestion is not listed - it will appear in the next suggestion. I would still be happy with some more diverse suggestions, but you can still suggest the actress you want to be on the lists. :D So please further suggest for this list:

Your statement about commercials privileging only 25 or younger anorexic models is rather debatable if you allow me to bring a disagreeing voice (though I see your point), for instance, we live in a social-network driven era, it's not about commercials but about Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and the women who choose to expose the physical value of their apparences rather than the content of their characters are rarely doing this by showing how "skinny" they are... besides, commercials tend to explore (or exploit) the popularity of female stars and you can see them all selling out for some big perfume brand with an arthouse-style clip... what you're referring to was rather common in the 90s with figures such as Claudia Schiffer, Elle McPherson or Naomi Campbell... but I think  it's a misconception that thin is the new sexy, overweight might be not but even then, there is a margin for appreciation.

Instead of "malus", maybe ... "pain"?

When I think of "getting old," I think 70 or 75+. Also, are you going to do a list for men?

Anyway, may I suggest a few edits? ('below in bold) They're grammatical except that I would definitely cut "This also counts for many actresses" for a few reasons. I'd also cut "below" from the last sentence?

Growing old is a pain for many people; some even say the main part of life is over at 60. But some people don't count on their age; they don't despair and enjoy their life better than before. When you look at people such as Sir Sean Connery or Sean Bean, you might realize that growing old can be nice when you have a rich and lovely personality. Now look at these actresses 55+ of age. Which of them is your favorite?

Thanks. : )
