Live Poll: The Canes' Festival

"There's the cane from 'Citizen Kane'. Wait a minute, there was no cane in 'Citizen Kane'!

You're right, Lisa Simpson, but there was a cane in many other movies and TV shows, and although we can't really call them 'cane' in the orthodox meaning of the word, let's accept any walking stick (of magical or deadly power) as a technical cane. So, let's start the Canes' Festival (yeah, it was no typo) and ask the question:

Which of these memorable TV/movie characters with a cane is your favorite?

(Need more TV-related options, thanks)

Wasn't John Steed's "swordstick" coming from an umbrella? Didn't he have a cane anyway? I wish I could add him, if I have only one TV character, I guess I'll "stick" to movie characters.

I love this idea! And, of course, the Lisa Simpson angle, lol. My vote would go to House.

I'll try to brainstorm about other characters, especially from TV.

Thanks Ruby, I'm brainstorming too :) Btw, do you know if Perry Mason had a cane? And Huggy Bear?

Hmmm, I'm not sure. I definitely don't know about Huggy Bear but I don't remember ever seeing Perry Mason with a cane. My mom and I used to watch re-runs of Perry Mason all the time and I'm pretty sure he didn't have one.

If I recall correctly, Raymond Burr did not ever use a cane during the television series, Perry Mason. However, he did eventually use a cane during the later Perry Mason movies.

Tanks Jen. There's no need for Depp's Wonka since there is the original. I never 'duplicate' characters in polls but I'll mention him in the Wilder option.

I would agree with you 100% except Depp's is so cool. :)

Your linkback doesn't seem to work.

Thanks a lot for Judge Doom (I added the others, except for Jafar who was already there)
I hesitated a lot for Wonka, if there's enough room for 1 last addition, I might think of including him anyway :)

You have the names of Zuse and Rumpelstiltskin spelled incorrectly.
