Live Poll: Scariest '60s Horror Movie

From the triple birth of the slasher sub-genre in 1960 with Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), Michael Powell's Peeping Tom (1960) and George Franju's Les yeux sans visage (1960) to cult-authors Roman Polanski, Mario Bava and George Romero, the '60s have changed the face of horror movies and shaped all the archetypes and tropes that would inspire many classics of the following decades.

Which of these 1960s horror films is the scariest?

ElM,

I know you posted this yesterday (September 18, 2018). However, GS shows that you "created" this poll September 19, 2018 at 10:38 AM UTC.

Let's hope the other threads that were in limbo become active.

My vote: Psycho (1960)

Well, as soon as I posted today's one, I was looking for the others to copy-paste links on the "delete" thread but I couldn't find them, they must have gone to the twilight zone or something.

During the last summary on Oct 11, 2018, ElM was within 900 votes of one million votes. Having this poll on the IMDb Home Page all but guarantees that ElM will reach one million votes this week.

Yep, with the poll at about 1700 votes, it looks like that is now official. Kinda sad he's not really on the board anymore... hopefully, he comes back to give one of his classically witty ElM speeches. We're all waiting for ya' ElMo...

I like "The haunting" best for the thrill can not be seen. All the Horror is just in your imagination and you are always afraid to see finally the monster. But there is no monster. Just you and the movie.
