Wow, I am surprised this went a month without a comment. I know it is fine line on spoilers, I offer my opinion. Where you have a clear spoiler alert and TV series tend to be forgotten once they are off the air or a least less like than movies to be watched by new viewers. I think it would be improved with some more descriptive short recaps other than "Ending" or "Final Scene".My choice "Adam finds Cathy's closet full of future gifts for him" I thought was perfect, short and descriptive.

I listed them as I did to try to minimize spoilers.

Henry Blake being discharged and then getting killed on the plane home in the episode "Abbysinia, Henry" will always be the most gut-wrenching, tear-jerking, and bottom line, the most unforgettable moment in all of "M.A.S.H"'s eleven seasons, right behind the final episode, "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen".

It's been many, many month since I've last posted this comment on this forum, but it's still as true now as when I first posted it:  the 'M.A.S.H." episode, "ABBYSINIA, HENRY", where Col. Blake gets his discharge from the U.S. Army and prepares to return to his family in the states, but then Radar comes into the O.R. and announces that Henry's plane gets shot down, and that there were no survivors, is still the one episode that really gets me the most every time that I see it.  Another sad episode that also gets me sometimes that's off of the IMDb list is the one from "GOOD TIMES", where the Evans family is having a going-away party for themselves because they were planning to leave Chicago and the apartment building that they lived in, only to receive a telegram telling them that James Sr. was killed in an automobile accident:

FYC:

The toast to Mrs. Wolowitz in The Big Bang Theory.

There is also the final scene in Friends, but I understand if you only want to have one per show.

I've only cried a handful of times because of TV/movies, and Mr Feeny leaving was one of those times.

The title should probably be Saddest Sitcom Scene? or Saddest Sitcom Scenes

Thanks Dan. My pick is Ben from Scrubs. Those episodes still haunt me.
