Live Poll: Paul Newman & The Academy

Paul Newman was nominated eight times for the Academy Award for Best Actor over a span of nearly 40 years before finally taking home the coveted statuette for reprising his role as "Fast" Eddie Felson in The Color of Money (1986). However, many people, including Newman, felt this was the Academy's way of 'compensating' for snubbing him time and again in what was one of the most frustrating quests for the award in film history. He had often stated it was also one his least noteworthy performances.
