The Breadwinner is in my top five fave films of 2017.  So... that please.  Weeped a ton throughout this flick.

My vote - Coco

"Coco" was brilliant but it catch on with most of the public outside of the Latino or Hispanic community.
I would like to vote for "Ferdinand The Bull" but I didn't see it yet. (It is on my viewing list.) I do know the story because Disney did use the same story back in the thirties for one of the short subject silly symphonies. Disney got an Oscar for it. Will the academy vote for a film with a story that was used before and won an Oscar?
"The Breadwinner", I didn't see it. Never heard of it. But from the story summary, I know I did see it as live action film ten years ago. The name of the film escapes me right now. But it was by an Afghan director. If it is the same story., I won't go see it because I already know it doesn't end well for the girl once she gets discovered.
"The Boss Baby" I didn't see it; therefore, so I don't know how good it is.
"Loving Vincent", I never heard of it. But from the description, the academy will probably vote for it. The academy love cutting edge avente-garde films.

"Coco" was brilliant but it catch on with most of the public outside of the Latino or Hispanic community.

1. Where have you been?  Coco is one of the highest rated films of 2017 (with 257 reviews).  And $657 million in worldwide box office (including $189 million from China alone).

It's safe to say it connected beyond those two communities.

2. It's Ferdinand not Ferdinand The Bull, which is the 1938 Disney short.  Coco and Pixar has the lock for this entire category.

"Loving Vincent", I never heard of it. But from the description, the academy will probably vote for it. The academy love cutting edge avente-garde films.
You have it backwards with animated features.  They don't go for independent or whimsical or Avant-garde films.  Disney (same as Pixar) tend to take the prize if they're in the running.

Loving Vincent looks nice but the British voice casting is a little jarring considering all the characters are French.

1, "Ferdinand" and "Ferdinand The Bull" are the same story, "The Story of Ferdinand", that was written by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0030128/?...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3411444/?...
And Disney's version did win the Oscar: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0030128/a...

"They don't go for independent or whimsical or Avant-garde films. Disney (same as Pixar) tend to take the prize if they're in the running."
"Tend to" doesn't mean "Always". Just going back to 2000 and working to the present:
First the oddball one where Disney presented a Japanese movie it did not make - "Spirited Away" which beat out Disney's "Lilo & Stitch" and "Treasure Planet" in 2003
- 2002, "Shrek" beat out "Monsters Inc."
- 2007. "Happy Feet" beat out "Cars"

How in the heck are Shrek and Happy Feet (with budgets over $50 million) avant garde?

Could you please the add the following hyperlink to the right of your discussion hyperlink on your poll list? ie.After voting, please discuss here or Take other Oscars 2018 polls.

The second hyperlink of the dual hyperlinks should use the following format (you can cut and paste it to save time).
i.e. or [link=http://www.imdb.com/list/ls021216429/]Take other Oscars 2018 polls[/link].

We are trying to generate some synergy among all the 2018 Oscar polls. Hopefully, making it easier for poll takers to navigate between the 2018 Oscar polls and vote the full slate. As polls get featured on the IMDb Home Page, other polls not featured will benefit by poll takers clicking on the  Take other Oscars 2018 polls. and voting other Oscar award polls at the same time. Hopefully, this will result in hundreds of extra votes for your individual poll and thousands of votes over the award season for all the Oscar polls.

I posted here so you can edit your top header on Poll Suggestion: Face-Off:Tomb Raider

You are missing a 'H' in which, plus I think sentences could be re-phrased

Which Lara Croft character portrayal do you prefer: Angelina Jolie’s or Alicia Vikander’s?

or

Who plays Lara Croft,Tomb Raider better: Angelina Jolie or Alicia Vikander?

I also think you should add Lara Croft to the title it will com up in more internet searches Face-Off: Lara Croft,Tomb Raiders

It looks good other than some spacing, I would make the same corrections to your GS post, while you can just use edit option.

Here is my Poll Suggestion: https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/poll-suggestion-face-off-tomb-raider The only problem was that It does not showed on the GS home page and my profile page  immediately after I posted It, or at least I could not see It at first.

I was able to see it fine. Yes, It happens to see sometimes too, It is not unusual, if it doesn't resolve itself in 5 minutes. I guess the post got flagged and needs to be cleared, Usually it will show up a couple of hours later. Although, once I noticed, the problem was of my own creation, as I didn't tag it for the IMDb.poll category.

The Oscar 2018 ceremony is over. Is someone from the Editorial team going to remove this poll from the home page and add a new one?
