Live Poll: Movies Which Were Hard to Finish

Can you name a movie that you tried to watch, but you turned it off (or walked out) because you did not like it? One or two per person.

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls022895606/

I can give you a list of a 100 movies, at least :D

Only thing is, I like to forget about movies that boring. :/

But I've walked out only twiceIndependence Day: Resurgence (2016) and at a screening of
Manhattan (1979)
(It was the moment I realized I don't like Woody Allen's movies)

Normally even if i don't like a movie i do an effort to finish the movie but in this case i couldn't.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1340138/?ref_=rt_li_tt . So disappointing to watch this movie, totally a disaster for an incredible saga.

I agree with you SeventhAr7. But I did finish this one. :/

For me it was so annoying and I think it was kind of disrespectful to the lovers of the saga

Terminator Genisys was better than I expected, but I could tell from the trailers that the studio was reaching.

For me, it seems that they mix some parts of the other films and tried to put together in one film and i didn't like.
...also they made John Connor a villain and i didn't like, when they made T-800, like the protector hero on Terminator 2, I really liked but in this case not.

For me, John Connor can never be bad, he is the leader of the rebellion and the hope of the human race

I've never seen The Tree of Life, but I've heard reports that a higher percentage of people who went to see it at the cinemas walked out on it than people have for other movies. Something about the content of the movie is supposedly like a jarring attack upon the psyche. I don't know.

Yeah, I couldn't finish on that one. 30 minutes seeing nothing, I walked out but it was a long time ago, I need to try again

Peter, just saw the list with your choice. I had no idea the director of The Tin Drum (which I absolutely hated) also made The Handmaid's Tale.

I literally only watched two minutes of that film. I couldn’t get past the first scene.

I think I wasn't in the right mood and didn't watch more than 15 minutes, Syriana, I struggled a loooong hour before I gave a simple look to my friend, he nodded and the telepathy worked, we just stopped the DVD and it took us a few minutes to "recover" from it.

yes, sometimes it's about on the mood ... sometimes there are movies that I didn't like the first, but that the second time I liked it.

...but also can be, that you just don't like and it's normal. Syriana i never saw, so i can't judge ;)

I know of a subtly-intense movie that I respected (perhaps liked) and watched from beginning to end, but suspect most people would fall asleep on: Eternity and a Day, starring Bruno Ganz. It has disturbing lack of any kind of leit motif or quite frankly music at all besides during the credits.

The Ring 3... It was ridiculously stupid.
It was supposed to be "scary", but there weren't even jump scares -often the most easy way to fill a horror movie- . The characters were boring and not reliable. The plot was horrible and didn't even feel like a sequel to the other 2 movies.

There are movies I did finish but that I only watched with one eye, I just couldn't get into them... like The Trial and Wings of Desire.

Since the first one that I suggested is, by all other accounts, a good film and one that I do want to try to watch again, and because I was only considering so-called "serious" films, the other one that I definitely remember not watching all the way through is Sharknado, lol. It was rather funny for a short time but it got boring and tedious quickly.
