Iconic is a word that seems to be used erroneously more than any other in IMDb polls.
Usually in the phrase: "which of these is the most iconic"
Something is either iconic or it isn't. One can't be more or less iconic any more than one can be more or less unique.
A better question could be: : "Which of these iconic figures/ movies/TV shows is..............?"

I think a big percentage of the population would recognize Rocky, Vito Corleone, the Exorcist, and Robert Duvall in that hat, but you can't see or hear the Timewarp and not know it's Rocky Horror
