Live Poll: Jewish Humor Icons
Wit, profundity, psychology, black humor, tales about arguing Rabbis, overbearing mothers and existential dilemmas, not to mention hilarious self-deprecating comments working as the best defense against Anti-Semitism... humor has been an endearing tradition of Jewish culture that expressed itself wonderfully through the legacy of many Jewish entertainers over the course of Hollywood history.
Which of these notable ambassadors of Jewish humor do you think is the funniest?

Note from the author: just because the comedian is Jewish doesn't make all his jokes Jewish of course... except if they're funny, witty and quite thought-provoking.

For your consideration:
Moe Howard, the "Boss Stooge" and brother of Stooges Curly Howard and Shemp Howard, began his acting career in 1909 by playing bit roles in silent Vitagraph films. At 17 he joined a troupe working on a showboat and also appeared in several two-reel comedy shorts. In 1922 he, brother Shemp and Larry Fine joined roughhouse vaudeville comic Ted Healy, forming the act that would become The Three Stooges. ...

Howard was born as Moses Harry Horwitz on June 19, 1897, in the Brooklyn, New York neighborhood of Bensonhurst to Solomon Horwitz and Jennie Gorovitz, the fourth-born of five brothers of Lithuanian Jewish ancestry. He was named Moe when he was younger and later called himself Harry. Howard's parents and brothers, Benjamin (“Jack”) and Irving, were not involved in show business, but his older brother Shemp Howard, younger brother Curly Howard, and he, eventually became known as members of the Three Stooges.
