Live Poll: IMDb Poll Board Top 10 Favorite Movie Songs

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls097617724/

Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/QwNH_k8ueyQ/

If you had to make a compilation of your Top 10 favorite movie songs, that would include...?

(let's see who's gonna have the most voted soundtrack, just don't flood it with Disney songs unless you're a Disney fan, of course)

I'll start (in no order)

"Prince Ali" (Aladdin)
"Shout" (Animal House)
"Be My Baby" (Mean Streets)
"Suicide is Painless" (MASH)
"Mrs. Robinson"
(The Graduate)
"To Sir, With Love" (To Sir, With Love)
"Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling"
 (High Noon)
"Blame Canada"
(
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut)
"Every Sperm is Sacred" (Monty Python's Meaning of Life)
"Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will be Will be)"
(The Man Who Knew Too Much)

It was quite hard for me to rank these so I judged them according to how impactful they were used in the movies.

1. Always Look on the Bright Side of Life (Life of Brian)
2. Rainbow Connection (The Muppet Movie)
3. Goldfinger (Goldfinger)
4. The End (Apocalypse Now)
5. Lust for Life (Trainspotting)
6. Wake Up (The Matrix)
7. You've Got a Friend in Me (Toy Story)
8. Mrs Robinson (The Graduate)
9. Eye of the Tiger (Rocky 3)
10. Shotgun Safari (Dragged Across Concrete)

Honourable Mentions: Against All Odds (Against All Odds), The Entire Soundtrack (Guardians of the Galaxy) and finally Friends (Miami Connection)- such a guilty pleasure song for such a guilty pleasure movie!

Just want to remind ElM that my 11th pick is Separate Ways from Tron: Legacy, and please put it at the #1 spot.  Thank you!

Thanks Narnia, but they're all 10-option list, 10 were enough and it would be too complicated to add new songs to each list, if someone wants a change in the listing, no problem.

Also, I rearranged the order to make the lists more 'readable', thanks for your understanding.

Oh, okay!  :D  I thought you'd said you were letting people add an 11th.
But could you please add it anyway?  Remove Valjean's and put Separate Ways at 1.  Thank you!

Okay guys, here's the situation: only a few of us had 11th nominations, I figured out 10 were enough but if we go to 11, then everyone's suggested 10 must add an option. It's up to you...
I hope you won't mind the way I changed the order, it used to be my way during the old Daily Poll board days, because it's the best way to make the list readable (the order doesn't matter much anyway)

By the way, there are a few suggestions missing: DC, Peter, Dan, Paok?

Sorry, but I'd wanted you to remove Valjean and replace it with Separate Ways from Tron: Legacy.  ;)

o.k. elmo...i dont mind either way...you could just do a separate part two poll if you wanted to...but....

if you do end up doing 11 choices..mine would be 'dulcinea' (man of la mancha)....

once again...great poll indeed....

Oh no, it wasn't meant to be a 2-part anyway, 10 songs are more than enough, I'd be glad to add "honorable mentions" but then everyone should suggest an 11th option, I don't mind that (but two polls, no, you wouldn't believe how much time it took me to rearrange the lists and put them in the same format lol)

Thanks for your inputs

Is the list still percolating or awaiting its reveal from the darkest shadows with melodramatic flair?

Looks like the list has been posted by Sir ElM. Can an admin copy and paste it into the edited text of the first thread post?

Good list, I have a few of them in mine...
Sorry for the order, you may have noticed I made some changes in the ordering to make the lists more readable, I guess I'll have to work again on that poll.
Promise, it'll be ready soon, just waiting for my tooth to recover :)

"Speak Softly Love" isn't technically a song from "The Godfather" but an adaptation of the theme, if you don't mind, I replaced with "Brucia la Terra", the Italian version that is actually sung in the third opus.
