Live Poll: IMDb Poll Board Top 10 Favorite Movie Songs

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls097617724/

Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/QwNH_k8ueyQ/

If you had to make a compilation of your Top 10 favorite movie songs, that would include...?

(let's see who's gonna have the most voted soundtrack, just don't flood it with Disney songs unless you're a Disney fan, of course)

I'll start (in no order)

"Prince Ali" (Aladdin)
"Shout" (Animal House)
"Be My Baby" (Mean Streets)
"Suicide is Painless" (MASH)
"Mrs. Robinson"
(The Graduate)
"To Sir, With Love" (To Sir, With Love)
"Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling"
 (High Noon)
"Blame Canada"
(
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut)
"Every Sperm is Sacred" (Monty Python's Meaning of Life)
"Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will be Will be)"
(The Man Who Knew Too Much)

Hi, ElMo. :D
I got a few hundret songs in my head, that appeared in movies. For me it's an exhausting thing making out, which one I would choose to be better than the other. So I got ten candidates that came first to my mind:

Kenny Loggins: Footloose (Footloose)

AC/DC: Back in Black (Iron Man)

The Knack: My Sharona (Super 8)

Free: All Right Now (american Beauty)

Queen: We Will Rock You (Bohamian Rhapsody)

Queen: Who Want's to Live Forever (Highlander)

The Sweet: Ballroom Blitz (Hot Fuzz)

Huey Lewis and the News: Power of Love (Back to the future)

Louis Armstrong: What A Wonderful World (Happy New Year)

Elvis Presley: It's Now or Never (The In-Laws)

Thank you.
But I would change two points about it.
I would change the Louis Armstrong pick to:
"Just an Illusion" from Imagination ('F/X', 1996)
and the Presley pick to:
"The Entertainer" from Scott Joplin ('The Sting' with Robert Redford)
(Even though it's not a song, it's an instrumental)

I am planning to make a poll related to themes or instrumentals so you can stick to songs for that one.

So I would replace presley with Jefferson Airplane's
"White Rabbit", played in 'The Game'

If you need 2 of 10 of my songs for the instrumental part,
it would be the theme of 'Pink Panther' from Henry Mancini and
'A Shot in the Dark', also Mancini. I guess 7/10 of my prefered
instrumentals would be of Mancini's feather. ;)

As eleventh position I would put
Toto - "Hold the Line" ('Kill the Boss 2')
on the list

Almost put Let It Go on there myself, but I figured it would get it's recognition anyway.  :)  Still love it.

Eleventh pick: Separate Ways from Tron Legacy.  Actually, if you could move it to the 2 spot on my list, that'd be great.  :)
Image result for office space that would be great

ElMo, is there a link somewhere that I'm missing?

Not yet, I was still working on the general idea behind the poll, I was about to consider "Push it to the Limit" from Scarface then I realized I liked the clip more than the song and that's not what the poll is about, it's about songs we love to listen to, we put in our playlist, if someone enjoys "Singin' in the Rain", that's fine unless it's biased by the wonderful choreography. So maybe I'm gonna stick to 10 choices or make it to eleven and then find another option for me.

I will make the list... it wouldn't be right considering everyone's involvment in that poll.

Do you want us to drop the songs' respective YouTube videos ... if available? That might be a lot of work for you (in that case)... if you don't mind.

I wouldn't object but I don't want it to give the wrong idea about this poll which focuses on the songs regardless on how iconic the scenes that made them famous were... if someone enjoys Pulp Fiction's "C'est la Vie"  because  of the twist contest scene, no problem for me, but the point is to enjoy the song as much as the scene, if not more. If the song loses its magic without the clip then there's no need to count it;

So I would have rather have audio Youtube videos than movie clips.

I was thinking the general music video rather than the (much more difficult to find) related movie clip. I also like removing the movie from the song and having people vote on the song itself.
