Live Poll: IMDb Poll Board Top 10 Favorite Movie Songs

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls097617724/

Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/QwNH_k8ueyQ/

If you had to make a compilation of your Top 10 favorite movie songs, that would include...?

(let's see who's gonna have the most voted soundtrack, just don't flood it with Disney songs unless you're a Disney fan, of course)

I'll start (in no order)

"Prince Ali" (Aladdin)
"Shout" (Animal House)
"Be My Baby" (Mean Streets)
"Suicide is Painless" (MASH)
"Mrs. Robinson"
(The Graduate)
"To Sir, With Love" (To Sir, With Love)
"Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling"
 (High Noon)
"Blame Canada"
(
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut)
"Every Sperm is Sacred" (Monty Python's Meaning of Life)
"Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will be Will be)"
(The Man Who Knew Too Much)

ElMo and Ruby,

After confirming the link, I updated ElMo's original post to add the link that BONAFIDE BOSS provided.

Hey ElMo, if I can add an 11th:

"The Scientist" by Coldplay (Wicker Park)

(Or "Paint it Black" (Full Metal Jacket)

(Or remove "To Sir with Love" and add both of the above)

Also, let us know when you think this is finished. (And are you going to add a brief intro? -- - oh and a link back)

You're not seriously thinking of removing "To Sir, With Love", are you?

I'll finish the work properly but I need more time, being a teacher on-line is such a time consuming activity I don't even have time for my reviews...

But this poll will be ready before the end of the month, I swear;

I know, that's how I felt as soon as I posted it: "wait, I can't remove 'To Sir With Love!"

So, if you're now making this an 11 Top Ten List, do you want to choose my 11th?

Or no, wait: as much as I love the song "The Scientist," I can't put Coldplay above the Stones so, I guess for my 11th (if you're still taking11ths), I'll go with "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones (Full Metal Jacket).

So yeah, I'm keeping "To Sir With Love." : )

Joe wanted to change Fortunate Son for Johnny B. Goode in Back to the Future.
And there are 11 songs in alb's and Ed's lists.

Well, what can I do? I know Ed can tell me which song to remove but al doesn't come very often...

Oh, well, there were others who had 11 from the start, so I thought you removed one at random.

About alb, you could try email.

songs made for the movie or just songs on the soundtrack?

As long as you can hear a good portion of the song during the movie, it's valable.

Hey, please replace Valjean with Separate Ways from Tron: Legacy
Flower, Gleam, and Glow with Queen of Mean from Descendants 3
and We Fight for Love with W Accept the Challenge from Rock n Roll Nightmare.
Thanks!

And be sure to specify that the I Stand Alone from Camelot is the Steve Perry version, and not the one sung by the cartoon character.

List updated, I don't think it's relevant to specify the version :) trust the voters

Come to think of it, Steve's version may not have been in the movie; it may have been a special feature or something..
hate to do this, but can you replace it with Send Me an Angel by Real Life from The Wizard (1989)?
Thank you - again, sorry!

I think the list is as ready and readable as it gets now.... and 20 options is a good number

Thanks, "Gabriel's Oboe" isn't exactly a song (though it belongs to my favorite movie soundtrack ever) so I replaced it with "Ave Maria" from the same film... feel free to suggest another option ;)
