I thought about doing more... what do you think about the Top 3?  Not too little, not too many.

You do have a point. It will be a little more difficult for a voter if there are more choices (although I dont think it will get 35 entries), I just believe it would be better for us, the poll board members.

It's nice that you two are ... asking the poll creator to handle a greater load of work and keep on pushing this burden over and over. You should respect his choice. If he chooses it... then good.

Also, I am going to dispense with the quote.

BTW, I love how you chose Rocky... a movie doesn't have to be straight up Nora Ephron to be romantic!  Sometimes the best love stories are in movies where the romance isn't the "selling point."

Before Sunrise is my favorite because it's fun, not sappy, the two main characters are likable, and the setting is great. There are no stereotypes and the there are no gimmicks to get the two together.

The Age of the Innocence
When the rules of a hostile society or those of your family do not allow you to be with your true love and you simply have to marry a social rule, that is the most tragic thing that can happen to someone.
Moonrise Kingdom
Love stories in our age of innocence and youth are the best to remember when we grow up.
Fight Club
Among its multiple layers this is a romantic comedy.

Gotta see Shop Around the Corner sometime... that's the one that You've Got Mail was based on; didn't like that one at all but the original would probably be much cuter.  :)
