Breumaster,

I've seen Frankenstein (1931) a few dozen times. I consider it essential to watch.

It's going to be so hard to choose. I'm thinking perhaps 8 and 1/2 or Jaws or Blood Simple. It's a great list and I love polls of directors' recommendations.

May I suggest one edit to the title? The colon isn't needed unless you removed the apostrophe and the s and at end of his name. I'd just omit the colon.

Thank you, I have eliminated the apostrophe and I have left the colon, I think it is now fine.

Oh, yeah, that works even better because, with the colon, it's clear that it's not referring to his films. 'Good move. It's great that way.

This poll gave me some films to add to my watchlist, btw, so thank you for that. 'So many good movies and some that I haven't seen. I love polls that work as resources, as well.
