Pro. I think we will reach that level one day or another. We already have some real-life superheroes, sufficient technologies and certain people with genetic mutations who basically have mild-level superpowers. There's always that point that escalation and superhero paradox will ensue as where heroes are villains will emerge, but we have what is basically supervillains in real life: master-level criminals, serial killers, gimmicky culprits etc. Until one side will collide with another we won't know what both of them are really capable of as people are far from using the full potential.

Sounds a little like the X-Men. Or Glass! :D

It just so happens that I like both. :) Can't have enough of Glass: seen it twice (plus two times I've seen end credits from showing after and before those) and made a 19-minute video essay about it and assorted genres crossing over and playing with superheroes ideas to best effect.

Great poll!  Undecided.  You should see the Stan Lee show Superhuman.  It's really neat.

Thank you, Buddies.
It's great to have such a rich reaction on such a simple idea. I wonder, no one had that idea before.

I didn't know that Brigitte Bardot acted as a super heroine. ;)

I couldn't find any super hero movie with her. Her only super hero power seems to save animals. That seems complete off-topic.

Rule for further suggestions:
Meant is: The vision of superheroes from superhero-movies in your real-life. That can be superheroes like the Marvel and the DC heroes or superheroes that are from non-comic-book-movies. Not meant are real life persons as a real superhero. There could be another option, but I don't know if there could be any usefull. I think these three options are enough. So I would only add further options, if they make sense.

*bump* - That also might be a good poll for the time, when 'Captain Marvel'
comes to cinema, or maybe at 'Avengers: Endgame'?
(That would be a further cance to take new scenes into the other ps-list.)

Suggested edit:

Keep those wannabe heroes away. I'm sure to die by being buried under ruins when they're near.

And did you mean for the discussion link to only be the word "here", or did you accidentally remove the word "Discuss"?

Hi Peter. :D
Thank you for being interested about my suggestion.
I've done the changes. The removal of "Discuss" happened accidentially as you supposed.

Good idea but I'm not sure about the choice of images, quality-wise I mean, especially number 3, which is like taken from a Youtube still frame/

Mhm, I know. I'm not really happy about that image. I wish there would be the same one in a better quality. Which image would you prefer?

I don't know, there must be some great images with high resolutions on IMDb, maybe you should just check the classic versions like 1978 Superman or the earlier Batman

There are reasons for taking these images.
1. They should match with the idea of the poll and reflect to it. There is no use in images that do not reflect to the options.
2. They should be of high recognition factor, so I stricly took only images only from the newer movies to also catch younger people - not only the old ones.
3. The images should be as impressive as they can be, without hurting the first or second reason.
As long as there are no other options, I let them stay in. Maybe I'll have time at the weekend to search for some images again. I would prefer the same images in better quality.

That's why it took me many months to complete that poll:

Thank you for joining the discussion. I've put the option to the list for compairing the images. I think it looks more like they're dancing. The image is taken at daylight, which negates the dark atmosphere. It makes the option look a little less agressive. I think it doesn't transport the dark power of the knight when beating the villain. After discussing, I will take one of the two pros from the list.

Breumaster, FYC:

The "wonder" image improvement:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0451279/mediaviewer/rm3760070912

PS: the initial ones may be better for context, but the above images are much better in quality. So, for you to decide.

Thank you, MAthePA.
I've put your suggestions to the list for discussing. At the end I will shut it down to three options. I hope many people will give their opinion. So we might find the best images. I think the last three images you suggested are really good. I think I will replace my choice for the third image, but I would like to read some more opinions.

Even though when you look at the second image of the same scene in option three, which has the same poor quality. She just looks better, because of the optics angle. She looks more detailed, because her face fills the whole screen, but the resolution seems to be the same. When it comes to become a poll, the images are shown in smaller size - and shrinking an image allways sharpens a little. Just think of which size they will be in the poll. Take the originals, shrink them by Photoshop in poll-size and you will see a bigger amount of sharpnes. But anyway, I'm about to change my option three. MAthePA, your choices for option three seem also to be better in the sense of the ps. :D

Now I'm thinking of option 5, 7 or 9 for Undecided. Viewing a day later, what would you pick?

#7 was suggested as a high quality photo of Wonder Woman. It's of preference only for the case of highest quality, so not so needed for this poll.

#5: the brooding eyes make the appearance more meditative.

#9: she looks wondered and a little scared at the same time; these both features often turn people to be hesitant, indecisive.

BTW, perhaps "indecisive" is better than "undecided" here. I'm hesitant ))

Thank you for continuing to that matter. Pro - Contra - Undecided is meant more about the voters setting than to the property of the superhero.

About #5: It's ok, anyway. #9: I feel she looks a little like asking herself if her decision was good or wondering what way would be the most morraly correct way. She seems to struggle with inner problems about making a worthy decision - a quality many people fail about. I don't really know which of them might the best for the poll. Now I am undecided. ;) So 5 or 9?

Ok, 4 options again. Indecisively :D
BTW: What about the new contra-option?

1.8K Messages

 •

I think, the new "contra" is contra in style, and provides no additional expression to the idea.

I thought about it, because the devastating power of Mr. Manhatten launched the detonation in which they both burn. Ok, not better than the first contra. I'll delete it.
