Live Poll: Best Director Portrayal in a Film

A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfillment of that vision.

Who do you think best captured the mannerisms of the director in a film?

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls080906653/

My vote: Ed Wood (Johnny Depp)

There's a bit of imbalance in the list with some being the whole enchilada, and others in only a few scenes. I agree on choosing Ed Wood, but was glad to see Macy included, since I think State and Main has been underrated.

Yes you are quite right about different options, but I would call it variance rather than imbalance. I think even a small role can have a big impact and vice versa.

I think I missed out on him and perhaps some others may be. I tried to include all, but not everytime we can get it. The poll is now published, so I cannot do anything. Also, This movie seems quite underrated to me.

Brijesh,

You can still add options to your poll even after it has gone live. Just add the new option at the end of the list, and ask for a re-push here:

Thank you Jessica for the information. Though as the current list already has 32 choices and from IMDbmember's post I think, I can create another list after some more digging in.
