FAQ: Polls for 2020 Emmy Awards

Nominations for the 2020 Emmy Awards will be announced Tuesday July 28, 2020 morning at 11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT, and ABC News will livestream it right here.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the festivities will be virtual; it has not yet been announced whether the Emmy Awards will be, too.

The 72nd Emmy Awards will broadcast Sunday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on ABC.

Format of the Polls
Title: Emmys 2020 — [Name of the Category]
Description: Which of the nominees of [link=tt11640058] for [Name of the Category] do you think should win?

Please initially limit your poll suggestions to one major category and one minor category to allow other poll authors the chance to suggest Emmy 2020 related polls. If someone has not created a poll for a category after one week after the announcement, that category is open to everyone.

Award polls, such as the Emmy 2020 polls, are a good opportunity for new authors to learn how to create, suggest and mature polls. When a new author suggests the same poll as an established poll author, we will give consideration to the new author and ask the established author to defer to the new author. We will also list both poll pending poll suggestions as appropriate.

Please do not make lists and discussion threads until the nominations are announced? It needlessly clutters the board, making our jobs as admin a bit harder.
