[ A question for the IMDb poll admins. ]
 
Hello there,
 
Are uncredited cast and crew really (truly or officially or at least in the eyes of IMDb) considered as the cast and crew?
 
 
For example, in Fargo (1996), Ethan Coen is uncredited but he is still listed under director credits on IMDb.
 
So, is it safe and fair to say that the 1996 film Fargo is directed by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen a.k.a the Coen brothers?
 
 
I hope my question was simple and you understand what I mean. Thank you in advance.

If IMDb lists someone as director it should mean that they have reason to think he was in fact a director of the film.

So going by IMDb's listing, it should be OK to count both as directors.
