New Streaming Preferences suggestion

The interface of this updated setting looks great and works well. One thing we lost though was the ability see see a breakdown of titles per service.
I have a LONG watchlist. Being able to see where those titles stack up helps to decide which streaming service I may want to subscribe to in the future.

It would be nice to see a number out to the side of each streaming service to indicate how many of my watchlist titles are available on that service/channel. (Even better… tap the number to see those titles).
The workaround presently is to manually select each service individually and returning to the watchlist each time, but that is quite tedious.
Again, this is still a nice interface.  I like that the service logos/icons are displayed—makes it easier to visually zero in on each service/channel.

I've tried to sort my Watchlist by a specific streaming service, but that's no longer an option. I have tried from my iphone, which only allows sorting by the "preferred services" I set up, all TEN of them, leaving the list hundreds of listings long. Is there no subfilter, so I can break out what's on PRIME or STARZ? That used to exist, but no longer.

I have tried from the web, and I'm only offer FREEVEE, PRIME, and PRIME (RENT/BUY). No joy.

Is there some option on phone or web I have as yet undiscovered? I would really like to sort my watchlist by Starz or Max, or Hulu, or any of the other 10 I watch from. Please and thank you.

I've been an avid user of IMDB because it allows me to search for movies by streaming service, because no other app allows this across ALL movie/series providers, but this glitch is giving me serious heartburn.

@DGBroome Thanks for the problem report. We have opened a ticket with the appropriate team to investigate (ticket reference #P92992126).

When I try to filter my watchlist by streaming services that the movies/shows are available on, the category (previously titled “streaming”) isn’t there. I can filter by watch options, but it’s not even close to being the same because all but four of my movies are on streaming services anyway.

Plain and simple, I have over 2000 films in my watchlist. Even when I bring it down to my preferred services, there’s too many to search just for watching on one specific service.
You should never remove anything that makes your App better than most. Now it’s just about the same as others.

Also on July 11, 2023 in your very limited top picks on streaming services, you have Transformers: Rise of the Beast listed on Paramount+. This film is available for purchase on other services, but is NOT available on Paramount+ at this time or any time soon. Just the trailer.

Adding my voice to the chorus of users disappointed by the disappearance of the streaming service attribute from the list of Watchlist filters in the last month.

I'm confused by a couple things here:

1) The post that started this conversation is a suggestion to add title count to preferred services, so someone is inappropriately merging conversations about the disappearance of the streaming service filter here .. different topic

2) Was the feature removal a bug or intentional? Col_Needham's comment above suggests a bug, however when I submitted my feedback to IMDb support, the response I received was, "IMDb.com is constantly being updated and improved, and we welcome all comments and suggestions aimed at improving its features, flexibility and ease of use," with a link directing me to this forum.

How may we follow the outcome of Ticket #P92992126?

IMDB now only shows Amazon channels as an available streaming choice now. Since they own IMDB has Amazon elected to exclude all the other streaming services? If so, this defeats one of the key elements of the site. And if they did decide to do this, just say so. I now have to go through Google to find out where to watch movies.

@FrankoMalc I’m seeing (virtually) all streaming services.

IMDb has definitely tweaked the UI over the last few updates, but you should still see all services.

Double check Settings > Preferred Services.

Today's new activity on this post prompted me to check Watchlist filters, and I see that the Streaming attribute is back in the additional filter menu! (All services, not just Preferred, which is separately available from the default filter "Watch options".) Either user outrage prompted a revert, or it was a bug or partially deployed feature enhancement (I strongly suspect the latter).

That leaves Troy's feature request that began this thread (to which the merged filter topic is unrelated) outstanding...

@zoemeanslife I believe we’re good on that issue, as well.  Not the Settings interface, but the filters within my watchlist currently show a count next to each streaming service.

I think IMDb may have perfected this interface… at least made it to please a good number of users.
