Error in IMDb app

On the IMDb IOS app, the writing credits on the "Series Writing Credits" page are preceded by the words "Sorted by Credit Order."

But that's not true.

The app actually sorts the names according to the number of episodes on which they have a writing credit. So the words "Sorted by Credit Order" should be changed to "Sorted by No. of Episodes".

Is this the proper forum in which to raise this issue?

@Gregg_O  Thanks for the problem report and sorry for the incorrect previous follow-up.  We have opened a ticket with the appropriate team to update the label here. Well spotted.

@Col_Needham Thank you. While I've got you, I'd like to raise two other  issues relating to writing credits:

.

On the IMDb website, on the main page for a TV series, if, say, "John Smith" is credited with "story by" on 50 episodes and "written by" on one episode, John Smith's name name will appear twice in a row, without attributes, i.e.:

.

Writers: John Smith, John Smith | See more >>

.

This duplication can knock other writers off the main series page ( See, e.g., "I Love Lucy"). I can't think of any reason why IMDb does this (other than sloppy programming). Am I missing something here?

.

Continuing with same hypothetical, on the "Full Cast and Crew" page for that same TV series, the name of "John Smith," who has only one "written by" credit, will be listed as follows:

.

John Smith        ...   (written by)(51 episodes)

John Smith        ...   (story by)(51 episodes)

.

You can see this effect on the "I Love Lucy" - Full Cast and Crew page. This is extremely misleading. What justification is there for showing a writer as having 51 "written by" credits when he actually has only one? I was going to bring this to the attention of the Writers Guild, but then I received your response to my other inquiry and decided to raise it with you.

.

Will IMDb fix this?

.

Thank you for your consideration of these issues.

The issue on the full cast & crew page is a bug will be fixed in due course when this page is migrated to IMDb's latest design and technology platform (as already used on the home / title / video / photo pages).

The link you gave to the I Love Lucy page is the special contributors view of title pages which is not in general use and has not been updated in over 10 years; you can disable it by visiting https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general and unchecking the last check-box and pressing the "submit" button. There are complexities with making any updates to this page both from a customer and technology perspective, sorry.

Hope this helps.

@Gregg_O  Thanks again for the problem report, this has now been fixed across all filmography categories in the app.
