Solved

Several issues, worst being resource heavy.

The application is so resources heavy the front page is unresponsive. 33% of the time it will crash.

Cast images get mixed around often when clicking on an actor profile, then returning to the previous page.

Intrusive pop-ups like asking for ratings or suggesting similar movies or TV shows.

Complete loss of text writing reviews when switching orientation, which is due to the application not scrolling when the text falls below the keyboard.

No ability to view other user profiles. Review count stuck at 25. No ability to select content for front page like 'News'.

Please attempt to clear the Cache in the app settings and confirm if you're still experiencing the issue.

To clear the cache, please take the following steps:

  1. While in the IMDb app, go to the "You" tab on the bottom right-hand corner
  2. Select the gear at the top right-hand corner, which will take you to the App Settings page
  3. Scroll down to find "Clear Cache"
  4. You will then be prompted to confirm clearing all application cached data
  5. Select "Clear" and then try to login once again.

I'm only here to provide feedback as suggested in a survey by the application. I have no need for trouble shooting but I appreciate your support. 

I've already done everything possible to fix the issues under my control. Clearing the cache only temporarily solves the problem. The application is bloated and it needs to be fixed without people having to upgrade to a new phone. 

The rest of the issues are scripting which the developer needs to address. It would be extremely helpful if they read the recent feedback at the play store and address the common issues users are having with the application.
