Solved

IMDB request to switch to imdb Pro app when looking up agent info, etc from within IMDB app always yields error message

This has been an ongoing issue for at least two years and I have tried every remedy I can think of. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Cleared the cache. It's frustrating because the IMDb app won't let you continue to the mobile site or connect to the IMDb pro app so you have to do a work around and close everything and open get pro app that by then you have to look up the information all over again and there's no way for it to transfer. I hope this explanation makes sense I'm attaching the screenshots. Any ideas?

@DeanTesterman  This can happen if you have selected to open IMDbPro in the IMDbPro app but you do not have the IMDbPro app installed.

Please can you check which version of the IMDbPro app is installed on your phone and let us know?

@DeanTesterman Thanks again for the bug report.  We have a fix for this coming in the next release of the app.

Additionally, once the fix goes out, go to Settings -> Apps -> IMDbPro -> Defaults -> Set as Default -> Supported web addresses. Here, enable all links.

@DeanTesterman The fix is now in version 8.8.1.03 of our app so please install when it is available to you and let us know how it goes (please also follow the steps described by @liudill above).
