App Unresponsive

I'm unable to use the app properly when it opens keep buffering and get this message: 'This is taking longer than usual. You might want to try switching networks'. I'm on home wifi with strong signal and all other apps are working properly. I tried clearing cache, doing force-stop and uninstalling/installing with no luck. Now when trying to sign in, it just keeps buffering without actually signing me in and still won't let me see any content on Home or perform searches.

It's a Google Pixel 3a running Android Version 12. I last installed on Tuesday morning from the Google Play Store.
