Hide ads for Amazon Prime customers
As a long time Prime customer I should not be bombarded with junk ads for shows/movies I don't care about when using IMDb on my phone. There needs to be some respect for Prime customers over this. It's to the point where I'm ready to stop using it and opening IMDb in a browser with an ad blocker on my phone. Yes, I'm logged into IMDb with my Amazon ID.

I am assuming you see Amazon and IMDb as the same company but my understand is, IMDb gets server space and Amazon gets advertising (clicks to watch or buy content) from IMDb pages. I don't think IMDb shares in Prime revenues or other revenues generated solely by Amazon. I believe the two operate as if they are separate companies.

Amazon bought them to add value to what they sell. If they want to sell more to Prime customers they need to stop showing me ads for crap movies that pander to viewers who can only understand dummied down movies.

as an amazon prime subscriber, i think ads in the mobile imdb app should be off by default. some people might want to see them so having an option is fine with me. maybe even an option to just see adds for coming attractions. in general, however, i think they should be removed. it would make the app experience so much nicer.
even nicer would be if the imdb site itself did the same thing.
just my 2 cents.
