What was that movie where a man finds money that is not his?

First, no, I am not thinking of No Country For Old Men. I vaguely remember a movie where a guy comes across some money from a bank robbery or drug deal gone wrong or something. It was a strange movie with weird camera angles, flashbacks, surrealistic photography, and dreamlike scenes. If I recall, it didn't have a straightforward, linear narrative like No Country For Old Men, but there was a scene where this guy--sorry, I don't remember the actor--finds some money that doesn't belong to him. Hmmm, what was that movie?

"A Simple Plan" (1999) fits almost all of those descriptors (although, sadly so do most "finds a bag a of money" plots ;-P)... but rock on with your details of the style of filming and etc :-)
Gotta mention; I've noticed no one ever indicates a possible genre with these questions and/or a specific decade of setting or production ;-P... That can help narrow the scope down massively, and both are pretty easy to guesstimate from obscure memories.
Technically, off this description you could be referencing a futuristic dystopian thriller or a western romantic comedy set in 1876 (@anyone who reads this and asks a "What movie am I thinking of?" question down the road. <3)

I think that's it. Thanks for the suggestions and please excuse the lack of specificity. I had a very vague recollection of that movie.

No worries, hopefully that was the right one... After talking about it here I found it and watched it myself! lol
