Why don't award shows have title pages?

Some years I like to watch award shows, and I keep a list of series I like to watch which includes award show series. So, how do I like with a tt link to an award show in general. For example, I can not just link to The Academy Awards, The Primetime Emmy Awards, The Screen Actors Guild Awards, The Golden Globe Awards, or The People's Choice Awards like any other television series out there. You have all the episodes listed, but not under the series umbrella.

Please will someone finally get these award show episodes organized? Sure they happen once a year, but they are still episodes of the same series, some have which have been going on for a quarter of a century. Those are very long TV series.

You could look at it like that, but I'm not sure I have ever heard anyone refer to an awards show as an episode.

IMDb does have special pages about events such as the Oscars:
http://www.imdb.com/awards-central/oscars
http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000003/2015

Several years ago, when I was hoping to add a couple of TV shows I had seen, I asked about this. There was a photographic contest that was being done annually at the time. I was told then that IMDb does not record shows that have a new item only once a year are not recorded as Episodes in a Series, but rather as individual items.

This is obviously the case with the Awards shows. They will not be set up as episodes.

You have two options to see them in a group:
1) You can set up a user list for each Award with the all the years, then refer to it rather than the nonexistent Series page .
2)  You can select one of the Annual shows, then click on Movie Connections. This should contain a linked list to all of the shows. For example, using The 82nd Annual Academy Awards (2010 TV Special) , you get this list  of connected shows.

These may not be quite as handy, but they should give you what you want pretty quickly,

The reason I would like to see award shows set up as series is so I can add an IMDb link to each award show in my database just once. The links to titles normally start as www.imdb.com/title/tt and then a string of numbers. In my database I only store the numbers. Having a different prefix (ev instead of tt) would make things a bit difficult when I go to print the IMDb link.

Thank you for the information so far. Have a nice day!
