I fully understand. Contributing to the database can be maddening sometimes. IMDb is a pretty good website, but they aren't always too good at communicating with their contributors. It also doesn't help that the photo area is the section that needs the most monitoring, at least at this point in time. It's a relatively recent change that users can upload pictures and before that, it was almost impossible to add/correct/tag/delete pictures. I remember at one point (but this may very well be ten years ago) I had to create a list of all the photo related errors on IMDb just in order to prove that this was a problem that needed to be taken seriously...

It's unfortunate because I've removed a ton of dups.

As someone who has also deleted quite some pictures, I thank you for this. And I'm happy that you'll keep tagging names.

On the watermark I don't think you missed anything as it was madding to try and get a clear answer, but I know in practice that watermarks are very inconsistent.

It's unfortunate that I really care to try and make imdb more accurate and consistent. I've learned alot in the past month or so just so I could do that.  I practically don't get declinations anymore except for some odd issues. But someone who tries to be helpful is going to run into those, but then teeth get kicked in.

In any case, I like and enjoy imdb, but I'm pretty sour on it at the moment. Maybe before I die I'll change but time will tell.

I can't figure out the complete reason why, but I think gettyimages are ok if they are for an event. That's the only theme I've been able to gleam from things I've submitted.

And I have to wonder, if some watermarks are ok (eg station logos, production companies), then if an actor licenses a gettyimage could they then not post it??

I honestly don't know/understand all the nuisances completely, but I would like to, or at least I used to. Still not sure how much I care beyond adding name tags other than finishing the job fixing the jeffersons because I'm not a quitter and started on it.
