Who writes the filmography of an actor? If an actor listed on imdb was in my film and the film doesn't appear on his/her list, should I notify someone to add it?
An actor's filmography is constructed by IMDB's robots based on their credits in movies and TV shows.
If an actor is credited on your film then:
* If it was recently added then the actor's page hasn't been rebuilt yet (this can take a few days to a week).
* If it has been more than a month then the staff need to look into it. To help them provide the submission ID and it'd be handy to have the links to the IMDB entry and the actor's page.
Hi, Emperor! I have a similar problem that I'm helping a lighting technician out with. His work in Towering Inferno shows his name as "John Reynolds". If you click on his name, it takes you to his correct filmography of "John Reynolds (II)", but doesn't list the Towering Inferno credit. I tried to add TI, but the crew list is "closed", so I figured I'd just go "uncredited". The entry was returned that he's already listed as part of the Camera and Lighting Crew, which is true on the movie page, but not his filmography. How do I notify the "staff...to look into it"? Thanks!
Hmm, I don't understand that as the credit is in his filmography when you edit it:
The Towering Inferno (1974) lighting technician (uncredited)
