Where is the "Production Department" in the update page of a title?
I've been using IMDb to update film titles for a "few" years now, and I never found a title file with a Production Department section. Now, I found a movie with ONE person listed under that section: [tt2238032]
Of course, when I click the Edit Page button, to edit this oddity, there's no Production Department in the page.
There's a bug somewhere, or I'm going mad for having seen so many movies.

Seems like a bug to me.
Perhaps you should describe what edit you wanted to perform, so when a staffer gets to this post, they can do it for you.

IMDb has sections for Producers, Production Managers (which by the way, would fit very well in a Production Department, as yet non existent), and Production Designers, that would be better to include in the Art Department. I wonder if IMDb magicians are experimenting with the creation of a new department, and this file just came out with it.
The person was not credited, and I believe I checked them all in a long list of credits. I enjoyed the film a lot

Given that the least popular "real" department has nearly half a million credits listed, these all look suspicious. A quick look through the jobs listed for each suggest to me that many of these credits wouldn't belong to these departments even if they did properly exist, so I suspect it's not IMDb testing, but that they've been added in error somehow.
But I can't see any way to get these departments to show up on the update form for adding or editing, even URL manipulation (such as https://contribute.imdb.com/updates?update=tt2238032:production_department.correct) is failing for me, so it'll need staff to fix them (and hopefully also preventing any future additions to these non-departments).

The "hidden departments" to a common user of IMD or even IMDPro should not exist anywhere in the database. Full stop!
I would accept them in a trial data bank, that would glitch partially to the "world at large", but action is needed from IMDb staff.
By the way, I did not object to the current structure of the interface page, but certainly it would be more rational for us, when doing the update, to have the occupations grouped according to the REAL nature of the jobs.

Thanks for weighing in on this, I have alerted our technical team to investigate the issue, once I receive a response from them I will update you with the details here.
