User review declined
2 days, and nobody bothered to answer me ?? So, I'll post my question again :
About not publishing the editing of my review, I did go to "status of your contribution" page. And I was shocked. Not because my editing was rejected. But because the reason, it says :
Before the last modifications, the site used to give me a reason like "You did edit this review a lot, and you have no more chances for doing that again", something like that. But "We did not capture a specific reason during processing" is just rude and dumb ! Simply I made my Batman Forever review shorter, moreover I changed my point of view about some elements. In short, there is more than one reason for editing that review. So why does that page tell me that nonsense ??
I hope someone in the IMDb staff translate this phrase for me !
And whatever its meaning is, can I delete my review, and post the edited one ?
P.S : I believe IMDb nowadays tries diligently to find new ways to drive us out of it, and I just can't understand the reason why.

a bit of a pity nobody from imdb is responding.
I am not a native English speaker, so I cannot help you here why it was rejected, but it sounds like no specific reason was stated.Unless you really want to keep the number of upvotes and downvotes or original review date, my suggestion would be to delete the old review and post it again. If it gets rejected again, perhaps you'll get a different reason or you can just post the review here and maybe somebody from the community can help you with the exact reason in terms of how the review is possibly not in accordance with the terms and conditions.

Big part of the problem is - as you said - that nobody from the IMDb's staff responded.
The IMDb isn't the site I loved anymore.
Since 1999, IMDb was a respectable and lovable part of my life. Now, it's respectable only.
Aside from the editing problem, every review in my pages used to have an independent link, so I could send it to whoever writing a study about some director, some cinema, whatever. Now can someone tell me why that was canceled ?? I thought about it deeply, and couldn't understand the reason why. Inviting someone these days, to read a review by you on IMDb, became very hard thing to do. Because it would take a lot of time to locate your own review on the site.
I'm shocked, and IMDb just gets weirder as the days go by.
Hope that anybody from the IMDb respond. Because lately I began to feel like Tom Hanks in Cast Away!

Guys, I have a real problem here..
Lately I knew that editing any of my old reviews would take less than a week to be done. However, I edited my review about Batman Forever (1995) nearly 10 days ago, and nothing happened at all. I visited the reviews section; whether in the movie's page, or my own page, to find out that none of my editing was published !
Can somebody tell what's the problem here, and how to fix it please ?!

That review is still pending awaiting review by our staff.
1) Without a submission reference I cannot answer that question. It is possible that if you have made multiple edits to the same review in a short space of time without that change being reflected then it is possible that we cannot apply one of your changes as it no longer matches the original if it has already been edited, that or your review breaches the guidelines for reviews on IMDb.
2) No please carry on and make an edit to the live review as opposed to submitting a delete on the original one and submitting a new review. If you are submitting lots of changes to the text within a short space of time please be patient, wait for the first change to be approved in your submission history before trying to make any further edits as we won't be able to apply all of your changes. Once the edited version has been accepted and is live on the site then you are welcome to submit a further change which our data editors will be able to approve.
3) Including a URL in your review is a direct breach of our policies which likely explains why your submissions have been rejected. Please see here.
What not to include: IMDb is pleased to provide this forum for you to air your opinions on your favorite (or not-so-favorite) movies and TV-series. While we appreciate your time and reviews, we respectfully request that you refrain from including the following in your review:
Any review in violation of these guidelines will not be posted or may be edited to conform to the guidelines. In addition, IMDb reserves the right not to post any review for any reason.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Will

I went to delete my review of Batman Forever. I received an Email that told me to wait until the IMDb agree on that (it used to be done in a second before!). Anyway, after 1 day, the site deleted the review. And since I did that for posting my new edited one (with all the shorting, and different points of view, that the editing section didn't admit at all)--I posted the new edited one, and the site approved it. The scary thing though was that I found in the movie's reviews my new one ALONG WITH my old one !! How is that for god's sake ?! Is it only a temporary glitch ? I need only the recent one to be published, not that one along with the old one as well !
Here's a screen shot of both of them.. it's a bit Shining-ish I must say !

Can you confirm which of the above referenced reviews for "Batman Forever" you want removed (the 2009 review or the 2018 review)?

Concerning your first question, if you submitted the review you are requesting the removal of, we will accept the request. If you requested a deletion and it still hasn't been removed, it's possible that the report is still pending. If you would like our staff to take a look at this particular review, please clarify the title associated with the review.
Second, concerning your review for "There's No Business Like Show Business", our records show that this review is still active and has not been removed. If you no longer want this review posted, please submit a deletion report again and our editors will take another look.

There may have been a technical glitch preventing your report from being processed, I have now manually removed the review for "There's No Business Like Show Business", can you check again now to confirm that it has been removed?
