there is old adult work I did on this page and it has my personal information. I would like it removed

I did some adult work years ago, however when I did this I did it under a alias and in my contract was told my personal information would never be released. I now search my name on the web and my adult work pops right up for Imbd is there any way to. Get my real personal information removed so that when i search my real name it does not show up

Can you provide a link to the page?

Were you ever credited in your real name?

Is there other personal info other than the name? The name on tbe page should be how you're credited most often.

There is a help page that says: "...site credits matching those that appear onscreen must never be changed." So, if the information accurately reflects an on-screen credit, I suppose there might not be much chance that IMDb would remove it voluntarily. I don't speak for IMDb though. I wonder why no one from IMDb has replied to your question.

There is not enough info for staff to have answered. It'd be important to see the page or know where the real name is listed, ie, page heading, credit/AKA, bio, trivia, etc.

A link to the page would be useful to have in order to figure out what, if anything, can be done.

I'm guessing that the original poster would probably not want to post the link to her page here, since that could make the information she is trying to suppress even more public (including making it visible via Google). Instead, she could try contacting IMDb privately via the Help Desk (http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/contact_form).

However, if the information is correct, it's unlikely that IMDb will wind up removing it.

I thought of that but a link not containing her name wouldn't show up in a google search, right?

I can't speak for IMDb, but I feel it is very unlikely that they will remove your name; they have an almost pathological dislike of removing accurate information. I don't personally recollect an exact match to this, but have seen several where people wanted personal information removed, and it virtually never happens (I believe there have been exceptions where the individual involved was a minor). For example, there have been many cases where people want a birthdate removed, often believing it is harming their career, but the dates remain.

As for your contract, it only binds you and the company; if anyone else discovers the truth they are free to publish it.
