Suggested enhancement to form validation - list of cast in credit number order
Sometimes when I am submitting cast for a title, I find that it already has some existing cast with no credit orders or incorrect ones, and needs additional cast to be added.
It is difficult to blend the existing and new cast, to make sure that the credit-order numbering is consecutive across both lists, and has no duplicates.
It would be very useful if there was a way of generating a list of cast, sorted by credit order (new or changed), so you could see at a glance whether there are any gaps or duplicates in the numbering. That would allow you to answer truthfully the statement "I have verified that there are no unnecessary double numbers in the order sequence", when issuing a cast-complete attribute for a title.
What do people think? Would that be useful? I bet it would be far more useful than the change that IMDB have just made (which being discussed at length on another thread!) which displays the Submit button even when a submission still has warnings or errors, and which has moved the Submit button into the place of the Check button. That seems a fatuous and unwanted change: the developers should have concentrated on doing things that are wanted and useful...

One detail I'm not entirely sure about though, is the idea of mixing existing listings with new additions. For me personally, I think that change would take a lot of getting used to and I think I might end up preferring to keep those two parts of the list separated (although to be honest, I can't really explain why I feel that way, perhaps just habit?)
[but if the developers are looking for work, there are also many other things that have been requested for years, in some cases even decades!]
