Submitted a new credit to a Movie not yet released. How do I verify the status of my submission?

3 months ago I have submitted a new credit to a Movie which hasn't been released yet. How do I find out what is the status of my submission? Because I've gotten no response at all.

Hi alizab1 -

If you post the submission reference number here I can take a look at the status for you.

Otherwise, for updates and details on our current processing status (i.e. backlogs/delays), please see:

Hi alizab1 -

I was able to take a look at your submission and there was an unacknowledged Warning that prevented your credit update from processing.  Specifically, you included an invalid attribute within the Update form.

If you are not sure as to whether Aliza will be working on this title or credited for her role, I would encourage you to wait until the title has been released before re-submitting the cast credit.  Since she does not have any credited film entries on the site, she will not be eligible for an 'uncredited' credit listing.

Thank you for your reply.  I'm not sure I understand. I did work on the movie. I do not have any pevious credits because that is my first time. My character did not have a name, and I thought that was the meaning of "uncredited".

Hi alizab1 -

To clarify, the 'uncredited' attribute should be included when you worked on a project but your name was not credited within the on-screen credit role.

So if you worked on this title but your name won't be credited on-screen, this credit won't be eligible for listing until you first receive a credited entry (ie. an on-screen credit).

Does that help clarify?

Yes, thank you. I So if i don't recieve an on-screen credit, I won't be eligible for an IMDB listing. Is that about right? I guess I'll have to wait for the movie to come out to see if I recieve an on-screen credit.

Hello, regarding my submission, now that the movie has finally been released (at the Cannes Film Festival), I was told that I do in fact have an on-screen credit. So what do I do now? Thanks.

Hi alizab1 -

You are welcome to resubmit the cast credit, if your name was credited on-screen you will not need to include any attribute.
For additional help on how to add/update credits, please also see: http://www.imdb.com/help/?adding/

Thank you, I can resubmit, but I didn't actually see the Movie so I don't know exactly what the on-screen credit looks like. Can that be fixed at a later stage?

Hi alizab1 -

I see that your credit is now listed on the cast for the film, see here.

You are also welcome to submit corrections/updates at any time, so if you watch the film and observe that you are credited differently you can submit a correction.

Thank you for all your help! This was very important to me! I've done a few local movies ans TV shows, but this is the first time I've ever gotten an on-screen credit. Thanks again!
