Storyline/plot keywords (or: What. The. Hell?!?)

SRSLY, What. The. Hell? (From: In the Mix (2005))

Do you need to be able to articulate exactly what it is about something that you find problematic, because honestly I'm finding myself at a loss for words on this one.
Yes, I realize they're only 5 of the 48 total keywords on the film, but they're  also the only 5 shown by default. At any point did anyone stop to wonder if a free-form, contributor-defined keyword universe might somehow have less-than-desirable repercussions in the long run? (Or even just supremely creepy repercussions.)

On a tangentially-related note, the interface at https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/field/keywords/ can't even be used to determine how frequently these (or many) keywords are used across the database, because the table maxes out at a certain number of rows and there's no way to view the next page of keywords in the alphabetical listing. The 'B' page ends at 'biting-a-tail', and the "next" link advances directly to the 'C' page.

On a completely unrelated note, I'd bet anything that all three of these single-use keywords are used on the same title, whatever it is.

Probably so.  And if so, there is something you can do about it: deleting and/or editing "orphaned" keywords with only one title like this.

You probably didn't realize this, but the top 5 default keywords on specific titles are based on the voting on keywords. I see that some of the keywords you have identified in your original post have now been downvoted by a single user, so those particular keywords no longer appear in the top 5 (and therefore are no longer displayed on the main title page for this title).

Yes, some very creepy things can happen with keywords (here is an example).

But the good news is that you can be part of the solution, by downvoting, correcting, and/or deleting keywords that you find to be spam, inappropriate, in violation of IMDb's guidelines, or otherwise objectionable.
