Some old silent films seem to have incorrect cast credits and it seems there is no way to report it

I have noticed that some entries for Edison films from 1908 list actress Florence Turner as a cast member, which cannot be correct, because at that time she worked for a different company - Vitagraph. Here is one example: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1908524/ , but there are more entries like this. I just wanted to report it, so someone would check on what basis someone added Florence Turner to the Cast in the entries for 1908 Edison films. Films did not have screen credits at that time, so screen credits could not be the source of this information. And some of these films with incorrect credits are lost (including the one mentioned above), so it's not possible that someone added her because they watched a movie and they thought they recognized her. So why? All the books and other sources I have read say that Florence Turner worked for Vitagraph at that time, not for Edison. So it needs to be verified on what basis someone added her to the cast of Edison films. Maybe it was supposed to be a joke. Many people treat IMBD as a reliable source of information, so it's important to make sure that there are no errors.

Hello AnnaSzczepaniec, You can submit the corrections/deletions using the online Update Form and providing valid evidence that this person was not part of the title, you can find help and instructions in our Help Articles: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/how-do-i-correct-credits/GB89HGHNUMFYFHEJ?ref_=helpart_nav_2# https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/contribution-information/how-can-i-submit-additional-verification-for-a-credit-submission/GN93ME9NVXHVE36E?ref_=helpsrall#

I tried this method, but apparently the only "evidence" one can submit to remove the incorrect credits is to upload the screen credits. And the movies in 1908 did not have on-screen credits! Besides, this particular movie I mentioned as an example, is actually lost. Is there a way to submit a different kind of evidence that this credit is incorrect? I could provide a link to the Moving Picture World from 1908 (on Internet Archive), where this movie is listed as Edison's production, and another link to the information that Florence Turner in 1908 was working for Vitagraph, not Edison (for example on Women Film Pioneers Project website). But there is no option to provide links, only to upload files. So what should I do? Will it work if I upload a PDF document with those links and an explanation?

You can make the comment and explain the reason for removing the credit, you can add supporting links for the submission using the submission comment. You can find help in our Help Articles: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/contribution-information/how-can-i-submit-additional-verification-for-a-credit-submission/GN93ME9NVXHVE36E?ref_=helpsrall#
