saved submissions

Greetings,

I have a lot of saved submissions and it could be weeks to months before I submit them and before I do the characters and the lines switches for some reason. For example, in a two character scene with ten lines, Tom will say the first line then Bob will say the second, then Tom will say the third, etc. Before I submit, I check the accuracy again and for some reason the character saying each line switches orders. So now Bob will say the first line, then Tom the second, etc.  When I first save them I am 100% positive I save them with the correct character saying the correct line. Can someone from imdb staff clarify why this happens and can other users tell me if this happens to them as well?

Hi assmn108 -

Can you confirm if this behavior is still occurring within your Saved submissions?  If so, can you post the 18-digit submission reference numbers on some of these submissions for our staff to investigate further?

@Michelle,

I apologize but since I have a lot of submissions saved, it might be hard to locate the saved submission I just gave you the reference number to so it just occurred to me it might be easier for you and your colleagues to find that saved submission by locating the name of the episode and tv show which are The Sopranos" (1999) {Marco Polo (#5.8), and it is bottom saved submission for that episode

thanks

Hello Michelle,

yes it is occurring, another saved submission I just found is 220203-105205-348200, the character of Carmela Soprano is correct but the other character should be Tony Soprano and not Mary DeAngelis, I am always 100% sure I assign  each character correctly before

Could it be because you or others submitted other quotes to the same page in the time since you saved the submission? This might change the order of names in the dropdown in the update form, which affects which names are selected.

It seems unusual to save quotes to submit them months later, so it's probably not a common problem.

Hello Peter,

I don't think it's unusual in my case because I've found the quickest method to submit my saved submissions is to submit one different item at a time, for example, I'll submit a movie quote, a tv show quote, real life quote, movie trivia, etc. and as they are approved I'll submit another item, for example if the real life quote gets approved first, I'll submit another real life quote I have saved, when the tv show quote show is approved, I'll submit the next tv show quote I have saved ( I have hundreds of different items saved), and I literally check every hour to see which item has been approved, if I submit two of the same items at once, for example, two tv show quotes, almost always at least one of them will get declined for some reason (the grammar and context are accurate) then I would have to resubmit them and would have to wait a few days before resubmitting them (if I resubmit them right away, it will get declined for some reason). Since the processing time could range from minutes, to hours, to days, etc.(I recall the longest processing time was 8 days), that's why I have to save the submissions and send one different item at a time which is why it takes months for me to move onto the next saved submission, do you submit two of the same item at the same time and if you do, do they both get approved or is one approved and one is declined?

If I have more than one item to add to a page, I submit them all at once, and they are usually approved. I don't know why this would not be the case for you.

You mean type of item? I often submit more than one of the same type of item in one submission.

yes, I meant more than one type of item, could you give me an example of what you submit all at once?
