Problem deleting incorrect family info

I'm helping some friends of mine update their recently deceased fathers profile on here as he was an actor. All his film and TV credits are fine but his personal info has needed some corrections. One issue is proving difficult though. It lists he was married a 2nd time, but this is incorrect and all his children know this. The relationship is lisited in the 'trivia' section and that's fine. It simply needs to be removed as a 2nd marriage. Within the rejection, it says I need to provide evidence, yet IMDb have NO evidence of the marriage and it's even linked to the wrong person!! The marriage never happened they just lived together!! But IMDB are not telling me what evidence I need to show for a marriage that never happened.
