Polygram Filmed Entertainment (US) vs. PolyGram Filmed Entertainment (GB)
The only difference between these two company pages are the capitalization and the country code. Now, obviously, the US and Great Britain are two different countries. But these name pages seem to be referring to the same company. A quick google search of "polygram filmed entertainment" brings up results that describe a company by that name as either American, British, or British-American, depending on the source. But the lists of movies produced by the company tends to be practically identical across all the various websites that mention them. Only IMDb seems to be treating them as two separate companies, and the way the movies are divided up between the two seems rather haphazard and random. As an example, take for instance the Coen brothers' film Fargo, whose IMDb page credits PolyGram Filmed Entertainment (GB) as the production company. The Coen brothers' follow-up film The Big Lebowski, on the other hand, is credited to Polygram Filmed Entertainment (US). On top of that, The Big Lebowski goes on to credit PolyGram Filmed Entertainment (GB) as a distributor. Bit of head-scratcher, no? Perhaps these two company names should be merged? Or, if the two countries have to be kept separate for some reason, perhaps they should be separated in a way that makes more sense? https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?companies=co0030612 - Polygram Filmed Entertainment (US) https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?companies=co0106129 - PolyGram Filmed Entertainment (GB)
