Please do something about your fake reviews

Please do something about your fake reviews. It's a real problem that is skewing the ratings of new movies and I'm sick of it. When are you actually going to do something about this problem? Do you not care about your credibility anymore?

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10801352/reviews?ref_=tt_urv

At least half the 10/10 reviewers have no creditable user history.

Hi Justin,

Thanks for your message. All we can say about reviews and ratings are covered in this guide.

Thanks,
Will

Thanks, but that guide doesn't help. It basically says you don't care about fake reviews. It's not doing anything about the problem. Do you not care that your site is filled with fake accounts?

I believe a lot of popular movies have fake Votes. The new joker movie has more 10 out of 10 votes than I’ve ever seen. And the bad thing is that a lot of these roads look like they’re all the same the wording is very similar when Somebody reviews it we seen this with the dark Knight. I will bet you out of the 15,000+ votes half of those people have not seen the movie and there’s no way that you can prove it either way it’s funny on rotten tomato and has an average of around 75% but on your side even though I know fans are involved it’s got almost a perfect score I think it’s BS.You need to go through these reviews and screen them and figure out which ones are real and which ones are fake

Romono Capprotti, the number is not that far off considering that TIFF, for example, had a few special screenings, all of them rather packed, I imagine.

IMDb likely do something like disregarding the top 10% and bottom 10% of reviews, and then averaging the rest. Along with previous reviewer history, perhaps.

It cuts much of the crap scoring in the long run.
