My reviews are not even posting anymore nor do I get email that they were received

I have been a contributor for years and lately most of my reviews after getting approved get deleted and now in the last week none of my reviews are even being acknowledged via email and/or posted.   Looks like I have been blocked.  

Seems like there is so much censorship these days over negative reviews.  I can't like every movie out there and should have the right to write why I don't like them.  Even most innocuous reviews get deleted.  My gut tells me someone just went through all my reviews and reported them and/or just deleted them.

Your policy should really be simple.  If someone does something against your policies, give them a chance to correct it and explain what they did wrong.  Not just delete the post and say "Your contribution has been declined.We did not capture a specific reason during processing."  That isn't helpful at all.

Second, it seems like people can just report any post and it just gets deleted just because they didn't like it.  Some movie are very political or deals with social issues so the reviews should be able to reflect that.

If IMDB has a very specific political/social bias and/or won't allow criticism of Hollywood films then just make that public so we know.

I REALLY hope that isn't the case and that you can improve on this as I see way too many others dealing with the same issue.

Thanks for your feedback.  I reviewed your IMDb account and did not identify any issues that would prevent your User Reviews from being processed.  Regarding the issues you referenced, if you have observed that valid User Reviews were incorrectly removed, can you post the related 18-digit submission reference numbers here and our staff can take a look at the original review?  If you are unable to access the submission details (due to not receiving submission confirmations), you can alternatively post some of the titles associated with User Reviews that were removed.

Concerning the User Review submission confirmation email, if you are no longer seeing these e-mails, can you confirm that you have checked any spam or junk folders within your email provider account?

@Michelle​ Hi Michelle, thanks so much for responding. I really appreciate it.

I guess there was a lag in emails yesterday as I finally got email confirmation from reviews (first time that happened).  So at least that isn't an issue anymore.

With respect to the reviews that keep getting deleted.   I say a good 40% of my reviews get deleted and I have to repost again, sometimes several times.  Now mind you these are reviews that have been approved so they are most likely just being reported by people that don't agree with them.

For example this was removed after being approved #220501-112628-460704 stating "Your contribution has been declined.  We did not capture a specific reason during processing."   I had to repost like 4 times and it still got removed within a week.

To me there is nothing controversial about my review except I didn't like the movie.  But even controversial reviews should be left that deal with political and/or social movies that touch on controversial topics because the very concept of such movies is controversy.  I understand profanity, personal insults, unrelated superfluous rants don't have a place in reviews, but not criticisms of a political movie if you take the opposite view.

In any event, I really appreciate your response and help with this as it has gotten increasingly more frustrating to post reviews since they just get removed.

I'm glad to hear that you are now receiving your submission notification emails.  Concerning the User Review you mentioned for "House of Gucci", I investigated and identified that your review did not violate any guidelines.  I can see that your most recent re-submission of this review was approved and it is now live on the site.

If you are finding that additional User Reviews are incorrectly being removed, please post those related titles here and our staff can investigate further.

Hi Michelle, thanks for responding.  Well, it was removed yet again.  This is probably the 7th time it had been removed after it was approved and posted.  Here is the #220505-153958-742004.

Why does this keep happening over and over again?   It's really disheartening because we don't get a notice that it's removed.  The only way to find out is to go back and check every single review constantly to see if it's still live on the site.  If a moderator approves it, why are users allowed to report and remove the reviews?

I would love any insight to this issue and how we can resolve it.
